Do you experience what I like to call “Sunday Dread”? You know what I’m talking about. The weekend is winding down and you’re beginning to stress out about Monday morning.

You know it’s really not about Monday, don’t you?

There is no difference between Monday and any other day of the week. The problem lies in your THOUGHTS about Monday or more accurately, what you choose to do on Mondays that’s causing your stress.

Here is the first of 3 tips to help shift your mindset and create real change in your life.

#1 @@Give yourself permission to dream.@@

Visualize it & write it down.

Grab your journal and go to your sacred space. Take a deep breath, close your eyes and think about your ideal day. Do not limit yourself by thinking small.  I want you to understand that there are absolutely no limitations of any kind. None. Ask yourself the following questions:

What does my ideal day look like?

Where am I?

What am I doing?

Where do I go?

Who do I see?

How do I feel?

Now, open your eyes and write it all down. Don’t leave out anything. Make your dream come ALIVE on the page. Put the emotions you felt while visualizing into your writing.

#2 Give yourself permission to have it.

Here’s the thing: @@You must KNOW that you are worthy of your dream.@@ No matter what has happened up to this point, you deserve to be happy and have a life that makes you excited to wake up every morning.

You must also understand that you are free to change your mind and want something different. It doesn’t matter that your degree is in English Lit but you’ve discovered a love of science. You can change lanes. You are constantly evolving. As you grow your perspective may change, causing you to see the world from a different vantage point. Give yourself permission to freely explore.

@@Ditch the GUILT.@@ Leave everyone else out of the equation. It doesn’t matter what they think or do relative to you. Your job is to work on your THOUGHTS. You must be clear before sustained action can occur.

#3 Give yourself permission to create it.

@@You are a manifestor and everything you need to be creative is already inside of you.@@ Step out of your comfort zone. The antidote to fear is knowledge. We are all afraid of the unknown, of not knowing how to do something or potentially making the wrong decision. I’ll let you in on a little secret, you can always make a new choice. Promise.

Gather support and information. Do what’s needed to figure it out. Make Google your personal research assistant. That’s what it’s there for!

Keep in mind that mistakes happen and it is simply refinement. It’s your job to stay centered and focused as you work through any obstacles. @@Let go of the fear of “no”. It’s just a 2-letter word not a death sentence.@@

Make peace with where you are so you can move forward. Focus more on where you’re going and less on the past. Doing so shifts your energy which will bring about change.
